A Musical Journey Through the Decades at International School Premjers

As part of the “Latvijas Skolas Soma” cultural education program, International School Premjers had the pleasure of hosting an exciting concert-lecture titled “A Blast in Music”, presented by musicians Arta Abaroniņa and Mikus Abaroniņš.

Over the course of an engaging hour, students were taken on a dynamic journey through the history of popular music — starting in the 1920s and moving through each decade up to the present day. The program showcased major musical movements including jazz, blues, swing, rock’n’roll, disco, pop, and contemporary hits.

Students had the chance to hear and connect with iconic songs by legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Queen, Michael Jackson, ABBA, AC/DC, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, and more. The performance was both educational and entertaining, offering students an interactive way to learn about the evolution of music and its impact on society and culture.
