Autumn School Trip
On September 12th, while everyone else was studying, our IB students had the unique opportunity to spend a day exploring Sigulda.
Early in the morning, they set off for Turaida Castle. Together with a guide, our students learned about life in Sigulda many centuries ago, but their experience went beyond a typical guided tour. They discovered how bricks were traditionally made and even got to try crafting their own.
After this fun and memorable activity, the students climbed the castle tower, enjoying panoramic views from a height of over 38 meters, and captured many interesting photos.
Later, the group continued to have a picnic and explore Gutman’s Cave. While walking along the forest trails and observing nature, they also climbed over 300 stairs to return to the bus and head to Sigulda Zoo.
At the end of the trip, everyone had the chance to meet and feed various animals, including horses, llamas, goats, rabbits, peacocks, and even bulls.
Throughout the day, the students not only learned historical facts and stories, but also practiced traditional crafts and spent time with animals.
The school year has just begun – where do you think we’ll go next?
