Computer Science Joins Our IB Diploma Programme
International School Premjers is expanding its IB Diploma Programme with a new subject: Computer Science.
Around 30% of our graduates choose university programmes related to IT and technology, continuing their studies in areas such as Data Science, Web Development and Information Technology. Introducing Computer Science to our DP curriculum is a natural next step in supporting students who are interested in these rapidly developing fields.
The new subject will give students the opportunity to develop computational thinking, programming and problem-solving skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of how computer systems work. Students will learn how to approach complex problems systematically and explore practical applications of technology.
Computer Science will be taught by Amit Joshi, who brings together university teaching, academic research and more than 15 years of professional experience in the IT industry.
Amit is a university lecturer, PhD researcher and tech entrepreneur. His academic work and professional projects explore areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data, including how these technologies are influencing modern business models.
By adding Computer Science to our IB Diploma Programme, we are creating another pathway for students to explore their interests, strengthen future-ready skills and prepare for further studies in technology-related fields.
At International School Premjers, we continue to develop our curriculum in response to our students’ ambitions and the changing world around them.
