Looking Back at our IB MYP Orientation Day-2025 at IS Premjers
Our IB MYP Orientation Day was the perfect way to launch the new school year! The energy across the classrooms was incredible as students reconnected after the summer and dove headfirst into what it means to be an IB learner.
Throughout the day, each group rotated through engaging, hands-on activities exploring the core elements of the IB programme:
- The IB Learner Profile reminded us of the values that guide our growth as individuals and as a community.
- ATL skills challenged students to think critically, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively.
- Global Contexts helped connect our learning to real-world issues.
- Key Concepts encouraged deeper thinking about the “big ideas” that shape knowledge.
- International-mindedness opened space to celebrate diversity and multiple perspectives.
- Academic Honesty highlighted the importance of integrity and trust in all we do.
By the end of the day, it was clear that our students were not only ready for the academic challenges ahead, but also inspired to live out the values of the IB in meaningful ways. Orientation Day set a positive, enthusiastic tone for the year to come — and we can’t wait to see what our learners will achieve next!
