International Student Research Competition
Mikhail Timokhin, a Diploma Programme student at International School Premjers, participated in the International Competition of Student Research Papers, held under the patronage of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The competition was held at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University and brought together students, researchers, and higher education institutions from multiple countries, providing a valuable space for international academic exchange. Co-organizers included Abertay University (Scotland), Matej Bel University (Slovakia), Educons University (Serbia), the Institute of Technology and Business (Czech Republic), Riga Nordic University of Applied Sciences (Latvia), Alytus College University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania), Lublin University of Technology, and Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland).
The competition aims to strengthen international academic links and encourage students to develop research and innovation skills. It also offered young researchers the opportunity to present their ideas, work with modern technologies, and contribute to the development of intellectual potential among talented youth.
Mikhail said: “It was a unique chance to research more about AI in business, receive feedback from professors, and gain valuable academic experience.”
Anna Antonova, a student of the Educational Programme “Entrepreneurship and Trade” at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, and Mikhail Timokhin received a Second-Degree Diploma in the specialty 073 “Management.” Their research paper, “Sustainable Business Models Based on the Principles of the Circular Economy”, was highly praised by the competition committee for its relevance to modern economic transformation, sustainable development, and circular business approaches.
The research supervisor was Daria Butenko, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Tourism Business at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.
