Learning Beyond the Classroom

On Monday, PYP Grades 1 – 3 students embarked on an engaging educational visit to Ādaži Čipsi, where they explored the fascinating journey of food production.

Through a guided behind-the-scenes experience, students learned how raw potatoes are transformed into the familiar crispy snacks on supermarket shelves. A creative flavor workshop allowed them to experiment, problem-solve, and design their own chip varieties – an activity that encouraged imagination and critical thinking.

The excursion concluded with an immersive 360° virtual factory tour, which provided a comprehensive view of the entire process, from potato sorting to packaging and distribution.

This enriching experience not only blended learning with fun but also encouraged students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world contexts – an adventure in discovery they will remember for a long time
